"Dadar Gulung Merah Putih" served with Chocolate Pudding

Dadar Gulung Merah Putih

Last week i tried to make a dessert and i chose one of Indonesian traditional food "dadar gulung". 
Slightly different from the others, i made red "dadar".


Dadar :
  1. 250 grams flour
  2. 2 eggs
  3. 400 cc fresh milk
  4. 2 spoon sugar
  5. salt
  6. 3 spoon vegetable oil
  7. strawberry pasta

Combine ingredients 1,4,5 manually, do not use a mixer. After that, crack eggs into different bowl and beat until fluffy. Add the combination to the egg, stir gently. add milk step by step and blend it until smooth. Add strawberry pasta (3 spoon) and blend again. After they mixed perfectly, add 3 spoon of vegetable oil.

To make "dadar" choose medium non-stick pan, heat the frying pan to a medium low flame, pour 3 table spoon of batter onto the hot pan, turn until it covered entire of the pan. Lift when it's dry and cook.

Vla :

  1. 500 cc fresh milk
  2. 2 yolk
  3. 100 cc Sugar
  4. 2 spoon cornstarch
  5. 1 tea spoon butter
  6. 2 spoon rum essence

mix ingredients 3&4, add milk, and mixed slowly until they mixed perfectly, add the yolk and stir gently. After that move the batter to the pan, cook with medium temperature. keep stir gently until it cook. Move the vla to a bowl then add the rum, stir gently with a spoon.

Last Step:

put 1 spoon of vla to dadar then roll it..your dadar gulung is done, keep to the refrigerator and after 20 minutes it's ready to serve with chocolate pudding.
